Ergo Block Reward Drops to 12 ERG — 6 July 2025
Ergo has just completed it's most recent step in it's scheduled emission plan.
The base reward fell from 15 ERG to 12 ERG, exactly three months after the previous reduction.
Blocks arrive every 120 seconds, so about 720 new blocks appear each day.
What the Change Means
- Daily inflation: The chain now releases 8 640 ERG per day. Yesterday’s figure was 10 800 ERG.
- Quarterly pattern: The reward falls by 3 ERG every three months until it reaches 3 ERG.
- Long-term cap: Total supply still aims for 97 739 925 ERG. The schedule remains automatic and transparent.
